Seasonal Shipping Schedule & Processing Times

Located in the heart of the Nantahala Gorge, Nantahala Gear Xchange operates on a seasonal schedule. To ensure every piece of consignment gear is trail-ready and packed securely, we process and ship all orders during our off-season shop hours.

Current Seasonal Shipping Days: Friday & Saturday (EST)

Pro Tip: Place your order by Thursday night to ensure your gear is dispatched in our Friday morning shipment.

Shipping Carriers & Restrictions

We primarily use USPS and UPS to deliver your gear safely and efficiently.

• No International Shipping: At this time, we only ship within the United States.

• P.O. Boxes: Please note that we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes if UPS is selected as the carrier. If you require delivery to a P.O. Box, please select a USPS shipping option at checkout.

• Tracking: Once your gear is processed, you will receive an automated email with your tracking information. Most shipments from our Western NC location reach the Southeast and East Coast within 2–3 business days of the ship date.

Local Pickup (Bryson City, NC)

Skip the shipping fees! Customers in the Bryson City area may select Local Pickup at checkout.

• You will receive a notification email as soon as your order is pulled from our floor and ready for you.

• Pickups are available during our current seasonal storefront hours (Friday & Saturday).

The NGX Seasonal Update

During the winter off-season, our Bryson City storefront is open Friday and Saturday. By consolidating our shipping to these days, we can offer the best possible prices on high-quality used gear while maintaining our local NC roots. Thank you for supporting a small, mountain-based business!
